Dear diary
I was walking to school. The bombs, gunshots, helicopters and dangerous cars are getting extremely scary. As I walk to school missiles and bullets fly past me. I feel like I should run for my life but I have no idea what I might run into. I can see I am half way closer to school and I can see dead corpses with bullets embedded in their chests, knives in peoples backs, blood dripping and splattered everywhere. Cars crashed with people in them, helicopters shooting cars. I don't think I can take it anymore.
Today we discussed our values. We had to think very hard about what counts and what we think is important.
I chose tress as something I value because trees give you life. They don't just give you oxygen they give you almost everything you need to live. Trees have apples so you can eat, trees have branches so you can make a fire, trees have logs so you can build a house, And finally when all the parts of the tree have been taken down all that is left is a tree stump so you can have a place to sit down on when you are tired.
We created our value in clay so we could think about our values more and what it meant to us personally so that's why I made a tree because trees can give you almost everything you need and that is what's really important.
The people in the Stations of the Cross were Jesus, The guards, Pontius Pilate, Mary, Simon and his three friends, Veronica with her friends, and the women of Jerusalem.
The Stations of the Cross has at least 14 stations. I was in the play until station 5 to 11 then I sat down in front of the audience with the other actors when I was finished.
When I was carrying the cross I felt very proud of myself like I was finally accomplishing something big in my life and finally understanding how important religion is to me. After the 3 final stations the actors must go out the room and go back and change back to our uniforms.
I was very proud of myself, so proud that I could cry.
It was extremely exciting but I was also nervous because I was afraid I was going to fail or mess up my role in the play but I completed it and it was fun. The actors were really good at acting. It was like they were actually living in the story. The young students were amazed too including the teachers.
Dear Lord I pray for the people of Christchurch who died and please take care of the them in heaven. Please help those who survived and/or injured, keep them safe.
Amen.
