Euphrasie barbier

Euphrasie barbier was known as a New Zealand roman catholic nun,teacher and the religious founder born on 1829 jan 4th in Caen Normandy,france on 4 January 1829 she was the child of louis-Desire barbier, shoe maker,and his wife Jeane Adele le cler.She worked for a time as a laundress before entering religious life.

france.Why is Euphrasie barbier important to us,? Because she is the foundress of the sister of our lady of the mission RNDM whose congregation found many catholic schools in new zealand,including st columba's catholic school.
